Does permanent jewelry mean unbreakable?
No, it’s still jewelry, if it gets caught on something and yanked it will break. Maneuver around it when it’s caught, don’t pull it’ll break.
Will my jewelry tarnish?
No, we at Kintsu Kate, promise to only use gold filled and sterling silver. We will never use plated product on the permanent jewelry.
Will we replace permanent jewelry?
If it’s the weld that broke we will always replace it, if it’s the chain that broke often times we will charge a small fee to reweld.
Can I swim, tan, go to the beach, go in a hot tub with my permanent jewelry?
Yes, so far the only thing we’ve seen damage any of our chains was sulfer water in a natural hot springs.
What happens if I have to cut it off because of a surgery?
Many doctors have been okay with leaving the jewelry on while signing a waiver, but if yours isn’t have them cut the jump ring and we will always replace it for you.
If my jewelry gets dirty how do I shine it up again?
We use blue dawn dish soap, it works wonders.
Do you use argon gas?
Yes, we have found that argon gas makes the weld more secure, and concise.
How do I wash the hats, bags, and jackets with patches?
I don’t wash mine often, but when I do I do it on cold, and light wash and never put it in a dryer. But it’s highly recommended you sew the patches on after we glue them on.
Do you have a party fee?
Yes, if you book us on the weekend we charge a $150 fee because those are our busy days. If it’s a weekday there is no charge.
